 **What if I find myself in a place where I no longer have access to conventional art materials?**

Would I stop painting?

Would I stop making art?

I don't think so.

Perhaps that is one of the ideas at the heart of my practice: **art is not limited to the materials we traditionally call art materials.**

A piece of fabric can become a mark. A discarded fragment can become part of a story. Everyday materials can carry memory, emotion and meaning.

I draw. I cut. I layer. I rearrange.

And in the process, materials created for one purpose are transformed into another.

Because sometimes, the question is not *what materials do I have?*

The question is:

**What can I create with what is already around me?**

**Art is everywhere.*
