Dodd Brown Nkpa is a contemporary Nigerian mixed-media artist born in Jos, Plateau State, and raised in Port Harcourt, hails from Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State. His practice explores identity, human experience, cultural memory, relationships, social realities, and transformation.

Working across painting, drawing, Ankara fabric, newsprint, stencil, collage, and reclaimed materials, Dodd creates stylised and semi-abstract compositions characterised by bold contours, fragmented figures, symbolic motifs, pattern, humour, and illusion.

A defining aspect of his practice is the transformation of discarded Ankara textiles into tactile visual narratives. Through his ongoing FABRICation series, fabric becomes both material and metaphor—carrying ideas of culture, identity, memory, origin, renewal, and belonging.

Dodd's work has been exhibited in Lagos and other Nigerian cities and presented through established Nigerian art platforms, including Thought Pyramid Art Gallery, Alexis Galleries, Arthouse Contemporary, and SOGAL.
